Originally from Bienne, Francis is the first boy in a family of four. During his teenage years, a slightly feisty Francis focused much of his energy on fencing, participating in many tournaments at the national level. As a student he opted for computer engineering and at 25 graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne.
Precision, flexibility and swift responsiveness are some of the main strengths Francis acquired during his fencing years. It therefore came as no surprise when in his first job he managed to develop and implement a successful series of applications tailored to the very specific needs of doctors’ offices. It was also during this period that Francis met two key people, Jean-Daniel Favre and Blaise Mentha, who today have become his partners in the Privegest adventure.
In 1999, they set up a new business together: GNT, a merger between Gespower, specialised in applications’ development, and the IT side of Unilabs. Eight years later, Francis, Blaise, Jean-Daniel and a few others, built up the Dianalabs laboratory that later became the Medisupport Group which in 2015 was bought out by Sonic Healthcare, a world-renowned Australian global medical diagnostics company.
Like the rest of the Privegest team, Francis is an entrepreneur and thrives on a new challenge. Even on a personal level, Francis has no fear when he dives under the icy surfaces of a mountain lake. So, when his long-standing friends and business partners suggested they set up an initiative to help fund innovation in the healthcare industry, he seized the opportunity to plunge into this new project.
Francis Perrelet is one of the Founding Partners of Privegest and will take an active role in evaluating and reviewing the feasibility of your business proposal.
